Shiplap

A joining method where two pieces of wood or other materials have interlocking edges. One piece has a protruding tongue that fits into a corresponding groove in the other piece, creating a tight and seamless connection. Visually, this is very similar to shiplap — except shiplap overlaps, hence the name!
